Steph McIsaac, PhD is a New-York based writer, anthropologist, dancer, and somatic educator. Steph’s research, writing, and dance explore contemporary cultures of healing and embodied knowledge through personal narrative, ethnography, and social history.

Steph is the Assistant Director of The Writing Center at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, where he teaches, consults, and does research on the writing process.

Previously, Steph was an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Bowdoin College and has served also on the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis, Cooper Union, and New York University.
